EshiWork ("we") connects remote professionals in Ethiopia with companies that are hiring. This page explains what information we collect on eshiwork.com, why, who we share it with, and the choices you have. Questions: [email protected].

Information we collect

If you apply: your name, email, WhatsApp number, city, the roles you want, your work history (companies, clients, job titles, dates and what you did), tools, languages, education, availability, time zones, equipment, pay expectations, how you heard about us, your CV file or link, and the link to your Vocaroo or Loom recording.

If you request talent for a company: your company website, work email, what the company does and the role you want to fill.

When you sign in: your email address, and basic profile details from Google or Telegram if you choose those options (for Telegram, your name, username and photo; Telegram does not share your email).

How we use it

• To review applications, build your profile and match you with suitable roles.
• To show companies profiles that fit their request. Companies see your profile (experience, tools, summary and recording). We do not give companies your email, phone or CV file without asking you first.
• To contact you about your application, interviews and, if you opt in, new jobs and updates.
• To answer company requests and arrange calls.

Joining the talent pool does not guarantee a job. Ratings and notes help our team review applicants; a person makes every decision.

AI processing

If you choose "Read my CV" or "Write it for me", the text of your CV or answers is sent to Cloudflare Workers AI to draft your profile. You review and edit the draft before it is saved. We use the same service to help our team rate applications. We do not sell your information or use it to train AI models.

Who processes your information for us

• Supabase: our database, sign-in and file storage for CVs.
• Cloudflare: website hosting, security and the AI features above.
• Google: sign-in with Google, and Google Sheets, Drive and Gmail, which our team uses to track applications and receive notifications.
• Telegram: sign-in with Telegram, if you choose it.

These services may store data outside Ethiopia.

How long we keep it

We keep your profile while you are in the talent pool. If you ask us to delete it, we delete your profile, CV and recording link within 30 days. Profiles with no activity for 24 months are deleted.

Your choices

• See, correct or update your application at any time from My profile.
• Ask for a copy of your data, or ask us to delete it, by emailing [email protected].
• Stop job emails at any time from the Open jobs page or by replying to any email.

Cookies and storage

We use your browser's storage to keep you signed in and to save your application draft on your device. We do not use advertising cookies.

Age

EshiWork is for people aged 18 and over.

Changes

If we change this policy, we will update the date at the top of this page.
